BAB Cash Book template

Our Free Cash Book template is designed to handle all the bookkeeping needs for a very small business. It helps you with your VAT and your Year End figures for the Inland Revenue and gives you all the tools you need to manage your small company accounts. This Excel bookkeeping template has been tested and works with Microsoft Excel 2003 and Microsoft Excel 2007.

The BAB Cash Book template is currently undergoing final beta testing and is scheduled for release in early December 2008.

Cash Book Pro

Developed by an accounting practice, Cash Book Pro is a useful template providing you with a simple cash book system. It's an ideal upgrade from a paper based system without going to the complexity of a full accounting software package.

What are the alternatives?

There are many web sites which offer free downloads for Microsoft excel templates, or you could design your own bookkeeping templates. There are many different templates to assist you in your accounting records including, balance sheet, forecasting, cash flow, sales invoices and petty cash.

Instead of limiting yourself to using Microsoft Excel templates, most businesses will benefit from having a proper accounting software package. Traditionally, these have been expensive and difficult to use but over the past few years, the software has become cheaper and more intuitive.

Microsoft offer their basic accounting package free of charge, whilst there are a number of other alternatives that are available at reasonable cost.
